Since 1856
Your Gift Today Becomes Part of History
150 years ago, a charter for the Wichita Public Library Association was issued because a handful of Wichitans believed this city needed a library.
150 years, one mission: make sure every person in this city has a place to connect, discover, learn, and to thrive.
Your gift today becomes part of that 150-year story:
- A gift of $25 can add a book for the collection
- A gift of $100 could buy supplies for the community garden at Angelou branch
- A gift of $150 honors 150 years of service and free programs
- A gift of $500 can help stock a full shelf of new books
Give whatever amount is meaningful to you—every dollar goes directly to the programs and collections that keep the Wichita Public Library thriving. Learn more about 150 years of Wichita Libraries.
The Wichita Public Library is marking a century and a half of service since its official founding on February 3, 1876. Thank you for being part of the story for 150 years—and for all the years to come.”
